What a tour looks like
The room your child would join
You walk through the actual classroom, not a staged version of it, while the day is underway. You can look at the materials on the shelves, low and reachable, and see how children choose their work. The outdoor space is part of the visit too, so you can picture your child in it.
The teachers
You meet the teacher who runs the room, and you meet Chizuru Fukuda, our director and primary teacher. Ask how a day unfolds, from arrival to dismissal, and how the adults handle the first weeks of a new child's settling in. Teachers answer those questions directly, because they live them every day.
Your questions
Ask about hours, meals, pickups, and tuition. Ask anything else that matters to your family, including how you will hear about your child's day. If we do not know an answer while you are standing there, we follow up with you afterward.
Before you come
Bring your child if you can. A tour works best when the child sees the room and meets the teacher. Our Stepping Stones AM program runs 8:45 AM to 11:30 AM for ages 2. 5 to 6, so a morning visit shows you the pace your child would know.
Ask how the day is paced and what pickup looks like. Ask about meals and rest, how the first weeks are handled, and how parents hear about the day. Ask what happens when a child is unwell, too, so you know the plan before you need it.
